Yesterday was “Orphan Sunday” and this month is National Adoption Month.
These quotes are so appropriate at this time:
“We learned that orphans are easier to ignore before you know their names. They are easier to ignore before you see their faces. It is easier to pretend they’re not real before you hold them in your arms. But once you do, everything changes…” – David Platt, “Radical”
Radical obedience to Christ is not easy… It’s not comfort, not health, not wealth, and not prosperity in this world. Radical obedience to Christ risks losing all these things. But in the end, such risk finds its reward in Christ. And he is more than enough for us.
Adoption is never the easy or convenient option. Helping those who are adopting isn’t, either. It costs us all something. I am forever grateful that all of you have paid the price to join us on this journey. You’ve paid the price to walk alongside us. It has cost you financially, emotional and spiritually and yet you have not turned your backs on us.
Today, I salute all of you who have walked with us. You are all playing a part in helping to change the World for one and we are eternally grateful for you!
You’ve seen his face and you’ve not ignored our plea. We love our son so much and are anxiously anticipating the day when he joins us permanently.
Thank you all for answering the call to help the orphan through our family!
